Senator JP Morrell to Live Tweet During Road Home Collection Letter Meeting

@JPMorrell to share information as it happens this evening

JP Morrell, the state senator for District 3, which includes parts of Orleans, Jefferson, and St. Bernard Parishes will be live tweeting during the Louisiana Legislature’s joint Hurricane Recovery Committee taking place this evening at 5:30 p.m. at New Orleans City Council Chambers.

The Road Home is demanding that some homeowners repay grants given out to help rebuild after the destruction of Hurricane Katrina. The agency is now sending letters to some homeowners who properly used those funds. Anyone in the state who has received the letters is encouraged to attend the meeting.

“Too many people have felt helpless after receiving letters demanding they return aid, so I will be there to help protect the people who needed Road Home assistance and used it properly to rebuild their homes,” said Senator Morrell. “I am going to tweet important information during the meeting so that people who are not able to make it can follow along.”

Live tweeting is a way of communicating by publishing short text messages in real time using the social media platform Twitter. The Senator will be using the hashtag #roadhome.
